The 17th European Solar Physics Meeting (ESPM-17)

From September 9th to 13th, the 17th European Solar Physics Meeting (ESPM17) successfully took place in Turin. This conference marks one of the most significant gatherings in the field, being the largest conference in Europe dedicated to the latest discoveries and advancements in solar physics. The meeting brought together European solar physics experts to exchange knowledge and discuss the most recent findings in the field. During the event, a broad spectrum of topics related to solar physics was explored in detail, covering various aspects of photospheric physics, the chromosphere, and the complex dynamics of the corona. Special attention was also given to solar activity’s impact on the near-Earth environment. The Solar and Space Physics group from the University of Rome Tor Vergata contributed to the scientific discussions with four posters. Prof. Dario Del Moro showcased a poster titled ‘The ASPIS Prototype: The Database, the Web App, and the Python Package’ and a poster titled ‘The CAESAR project: Comprehensive spAce wEather Studies for the ASPIS prototype Realization’. Dr. Raffaele Reda presented a poster on ‘Cross-scale Phase Relationship of Solar Activity with Solar Wind Parameters: A Space Climate Focus’. Ronish Mugatwala enriched the meeting with his poster, ‘A Catalog of CME-ICME Lineup Events’. Lastly, Michele Berretti contributed a poster on ‘Unexpected Frequency of Horizontal Oscillations of Magnetic Structures in the Solar Photosphere’. The five posters pointed out the diverse research topics covered by the group.
