5th Meeting of the Italian Solar and Heliospheric Community

The 5th Workshop of the Solar and Heliospheric Italian Community (SoHe-5) was held from September 10th to 12th, 2025, at the Department of Physics of the University of Calabria in Arcavacata di Rende (CS). The event brought together researchers to share and discuss recent advances in solar and heliospheric physics, with sessions covering the Sun’s internal structure, the solar atmosphere, solar flares and magnetic reconnection, the solar wind, and space weather phenomena. The program also featured presentations on current and future instruments and missions dedicated to exploring the Sun and the heliosphere, with particular emphasis on the Italian contribution. The workshop fostered stimulating discussions on novel ideas and collaborations within the community, with strong participation from students and early-career scientists.

The Solar and Space Physics group of the University of Rome Tor Vergata contributed with three talks. Matteo Cantoresi presented “Photospheric Magnetic Organization in Coronal Holes”, Letizia Casara introduced “SEE: A CubeSat to Study Solar Activity and Space Weather”, and Raffaele Reda discussed “Exploring the Connection between the Ca II K Index and the Solar Wind at 1 AU: A Space Climate Perspective”.
